Welcome to the Future Sound Of Nature!
We’re less than a week out from the festival and wanted to check in and share some festival essentials to help you (and us) plan for the best festival experience possible! Below you’ll find lots of information about logistics, hospitality, safety and expectations at the festival, please take the time to read through and let us know if you have any questions, concerns or ideas. We’re doing our best to make sure we all have a beautiful experience connecting more deeply with ourselves, each other and the land to remember that WE ARE ALL NATURE.
Along with community and land stewardship, sustainability is at the heart of our regenerative festival. This means that Future Sound Of Nature may run a little differently than what you’re used to. We’re partnering with CupZero to provide reusable cups and serveware. We’re also collaborating with PermaTours to support our composting program. And working with Green Disco to collect data about our operations. Please fill out this brief survey on your travel to the festival to help us gain an understanding of our ecological footprint.
Venue Address:
Locust Grove
318 COUNTY ROUTE 22
Oak Hill, NY 12460
Arrival, Carpooling, Parking & Camping:
Friday doors open at 3pm for campers and 6pm for Nightpasses, Saturday 12pm for Daypasses and Sunday 11am for Daypasses. Doors will be closed from 10pm until opening times so please arrive before 10pm.
Parking is available in the lot to the right when facing the venue.
Audience travel is a major source of Greenhouse Gas Emissions so to encourage everyone to carpool we’re going to run a daily raffle to giveaway a free drink to everyone in a carpool vehicle (just ask the parking attended for a raffle ticket when you pull up with your car full of friends). If you’re looking for carpool buddies join the Partiful and post a comment!
Camping check-in begins at 3pm Friday and you are welcome to arrive any time after that. There are two camping areas on the property Camp Gallagher and Camp Sunshine, and they are both first come first serve. Please don’t forget to bring your own tent, sleeping bag, flashlights and anything else you need to camp.
REMINDER: Every camper must have a camping ticket, even if you are sharing a tent with another camper. Camping tickets are “per person”, not “per tent”
Food:
Breakfast for campers from 9-11am. Lunch from 12-4pm. Dinner from 6-10pm. The cost of meals is not included in the price of tickets and will be paid directly to vendors.
To reduce waste we are partnering with CupZero to provide reusable cups, plates and sporks for each meal. There will be a $5 deposit to get your serveware from a booth before each meal, which is fully-refunded when you return your used items to the booth.
There is a canteen with snacks, drinks and late night food for sale on the honor system via Venmo. You are also welcome to bring your own snacks and N.A. beverages. However, all food and beverages you bring must be kept in a cooler in your car due to bears!
Drinks:
The venue is serving canned beer and wine which can be paid via cash or venmo.
We are providing free water filling stations. Please BRING YOUR OWN WATER BOTTLE OR CUP to enjoy the water. If you need a cup for water there will be a $2 deposit for CupZero reusable cups.
Waste:
The goal is to send as little waste as possible to landfill and use ZERO single use plastic. There are 4 types of bins you’ll find on site:
REUSE - We’re partnering with CupZero to provide reusable cups, plates and sporks for meals and water. Please return these items to the booth or drop in one of the marked CupZero bins.
RECYCLE - The venue’s bar serves wine and beer in aluminum cans, which is infinitely recyclable.
COMPOST - All food waste goes in the compost bins. We’re working with PermaTours and Diggers Cooperative to create a sustainable compost program.
TRASH - anything that is not CupZero, recyclable, or compostable goes in the trash bin.

Safety:
We welcome everyone from the community, regardless of gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, race, age, religion, ethnicity or national origin, or ability. Please respect our communal values and treat each other and the land where we gather with respect.
The dance floor is an expression of our loving community. We don’t tolerate behaviors that tell people that they aren’t welcome or that their bodies aren’t safe. Consensual touch, respect for personal space, and being gentle with others’ mental states is how we care for each-other and guarantee a positive experience for all who attend! We don’t permit leering, commenting about others’ bodies, following people, taking photos or videos without consent, or other types of disrespectful or dehumanizing behavior – and we won’t hesitate to toss you out if you’re intoxicated enough that you can’t engage with these agreements.
We keep ourselves safe – together. Our harm reduction booth will be staffed from noon until late night throughout the duration of the festival and festival staff and volunteers will be wearing sparkle buttons so it’s easy to find us. If you see someone who looks like they are struggling physically or emotionally – on our off the dance floor – please gently check in with them to offer help. If that’s not possible, please go immediately to the harm reduction tent, or find a festival staff member to help.
We respect the land. All festival attendees will be expected to do your part to leave the land the way we found it. Please discard all trash in the designated areas, and please follow recycling instructions on or near the trash deposit areas. Please also be careful to “carry in, carry out” for anything that doesn’t belong in the trash, (broken camping gear, etc.).
